An Australian seam opal rectangle with a bright blue green flashfire dances in a sterling silver tear drop swing pendant.  (A seam opal is an opal that formed in the cracks or cavities of other stones like ironstone.)  It looks great on either a chain or cord.  This moveable pendant is approximately 3/8 inches (0.9 cm) wide by 1 1/8 inches (2.8 cm) tall.  The opal is backed with a black epoxy and was handcut by local artisan, Bruce London.

Caring for the Opals:  Avoid exposing the opal to sharp temperature changes and be sure to remove opal jewelry before bathing or swimming.  When storing your opals, avoid low humidity environments like safety deposit boxes as this will potentially cause your opals to dry out and crack.
