Stripes of Australian opal and malachite are mounted on black jade to create unique intarsia doublet stones.  Bezel set into sterling silver pendants and available in your choice of oval or rectangle shapes.  The pendant looks great with either a chain or a cord.  (The chain in the photos is a sterling silver 1.25 mm spiga chain that is sold separately.)  The stones are handcrafted by local artisan, Bruce London.  The approximate measurements of the different options are as follows:

Oval:  3/4 inches (1.8 cm) wide by 1 1/2 inches (3.7 cm) tall

Rectangle:  7/8 inches (2.2 cm) wide by 1 1/2 inches (4 cm) tall

Caring for the Opals:  Avoid exposing the opal to sharp temperature changes and be sure to remove opal jewelry before bathing or swimming.  When storing your opals, avoid low humidity environments like safety deposit boxes as this will potentially cause your opals to dry out and crack.
